A curved staircase connecting Levels 22 and 23 encourages movement, collaboration, and connection across Beca’s open workspace. The design balances natural and built elements, blending digital and physical experiences while enhancing wellbeing with daylight, biophilic features, and a focus on WELL certification.
Integrated within a workspace featuring authentic, sustainable materials such as Australian granite, cork, recycled plastics, and spotted gum veneer, the stair contributes to a welcoming, inclusive environment. Thoughtfully positioned, it transforms vertical circulation into a space that supports engagement, wellbeing, and team connection.
Commonwealth Tenancy, Brisbane
Flowing through 13 floors, this sculptural staircase fosters movement, interaction, and collaboration across the workplace. A paired-back palette of timber and white steel, combined with natural textures and integrated plants, creates a calm environment that supports both team connection and focused work.
Biophilic elements enhance productivity and workplace culture, turning everyday circulation into a space that encourages engagement, collaboration, and individual focus, while combining functionality with striking visual impact.
At the heart of ESR’s 6 Star Green Star workplace, a sculptural stair connects floors while fostering movement, interaction, and collaboration. Designed to support a “One Team” environment, the space feels unified, dynamic, and aligned with the company’s evolving brand identity.
Embracing the concept of refined industrial, the stair features a palette of timber, red steel mesh, and curved lines, complemented by integrated brand detailing. This creates a tactile, welcoming experience that supports both sustainability and approachability, anchoring the workplace with a design that is functional, inspiring, and connected.
Looking Ahead
These projects demonstrate how workplaces designed with natural elements, flowing forms, and sustainable principles can enhance wellbeing, collaboration, and the overall employee experience.
At Asentis, we’re inspired by the potential of these spaces to transform how people work and connect. As hybrid and flexible workplaces continue to evolve, we see biophilic design playing an even more prominent role in 2026 and beyond, creating environments where teams thrive, cultures flourish, and businesses succeed.
