Sydney Water, Australia’s largest water utility, employs over 3,200 staff across 12,700 square kilometres. Committed to protecting public health, safeguarding the environment, and running a successful business, the organisation provides drinking water, recycled water, wastewater, and storm-water services to more than five million people across Sydney, the Blue Mountains, and the Illawarra. Sydney Water’s workplace strategy focuses on diversity, inclusivity, and reinforcing its values through signature behaviours.
The West Region Delivery Team office at Sydney Olympic Park spans 1,500sqm over two floors and was designed and constructed by inOne Projects using a soft palette of colours and textures. The mesh steel staircase, delivered by Asentis, became a central design feature. Initially positioned between the band beams, the staircase was relocated to the side in collaboration with engineers to optimise load distribution for the lightweight slab. The result is a compact yet striking staircase that strengthens the workplace experience and delighted the client.
