More than a means of circulation, the stair anchors the workplace around a central element that reflects Ramsay’s commitment to health, well-being, and people-first values. Positioned at the heart of the office, it creates a natural point of movement, interaction, and calm.
Established in Sydney in 1964, Ramsay Health Care has grown into one of the largest and most diverse private healthcare companies in the world, with 480 facilities across 11 countries. Known for operating high-quality services and delivering exceptional patient care, Ramsay wanted a workplace that reflected its philosophy of “people caring for people.” Siren Design was engaged to create a contemporary environment that balances openness, collaboration, and cutting-edge health technologies while fostering a sense of warmth and connection.
The stair itself was carefully detailed by Asentis to complement this vision. White perforated metal balustrades on the outer edge and a solid plaster finish on the inner wall provide elegance and contrast, enhanced by timber handrails and oak-look flooring. Woven vinyl risers add refined texture, while the feature rock garden, integrated lighting, and nearby casual meeting zones transform the installation into an experience rather than a passage. The result is a workplace where design, detail, and philosophy come together in harmony.
