Vocus, Sydney

At the heart of Vocus' innovative North Sydney headquarters, the electric blue staircase—designed in partnership with Asentis and Davenport Campbell—serves as a striking centrepiece, seamlessly connecting floors while promoting movement and collaboration.

The Vocus headquarters in North Sydney redefines the modern workplace, integrating lessons from the company’s Future of Work initiatives. This cutting-edge space connects employees to Vocus’ core values and fosters collaboration, social connection, and flexibility. At its heart is an electric blue staircase, designed in partnership with Davenport Campbell and Asentis. This striking centrepiece not only serves as a bold visual feature but also physically links the floors, encouraging movement and interaction across the workplace.

By prioritising real workplace needs over traditional density metrics, the design tailors the environment to Vocus’ attendance policy. The reduction in workstations freed space for dynamic, work-enabled, social, and collaborative areas. Employees now have over a dozen distinct workpoint options, ensuring a workspace that adapts to individual styles and needs. Features like portable power further enhance flexibility, activating spaces that previously went unused.

The aesthetic breaks away from neutral tones, embracing bold colours, textures, and energy to create an inspiring atmosphere. This partnership has delivered a revolutionary workplace that not only meets the demands of today’s workforce but sets a new benchmark for innovation in design and functionality.
