Luxottica, a global leader in eyewear design, manufacturing, and distribution, is driven by the vision of "seeing the beauty" of life. This vision shapes its sustainable approach, emphasising personal well-being, environmental respect, ethics, and transparency. With a portfolio of proprietary and licensed brands, Luxottica operates in over 150 countries.
In relocating from Macquarie Park to North Sydney, Luxottica partnered with Bates Smart to create a 3,176sqm headquarters at 1 Denison St. The design prioritises health, wellness, and agility, connecting internal and external spaces with natural materials, abundant light, transparency, and cohesive branding.
The striking modern staircase, connecting levels 34 to 36, is the centrepiece of the space. Featuring a floating stair design on the lower level and a switchback on the upper, the staircase enhances visibility and frames panoramic views of Sydney’s cityscape and harbour through floor-to-ceiling windows and glazed balustrades. The elegant light grey marble treads complete the journey from workstations to the top-floor showrooms, honouring Luxottica’s Italian heritage.
