JLL, Sydney

Commercial
In the heart of Sydney’s Circular Quay precinct, JLL’s office at 180 George Street stands as a testament to innovative design and collaborative workspaces.

At its core lies a masterpiece: a statement staircase meticulously crafted by Asentis, seamlessly connecting three floors and fostering spontaneous interactions among colleagues. Designed by JLL’s internal team, the spiral-shaped staircase has become the epi-centre of activity within the office space.

This architectural feature functions not only as a connective element but also embodies JLL’s commitment to a collaborative and engaging work environment. Its unique design encourages employees to use the stairs, facilitating chance encounters and impromptu discussions that enhance teamwork and communication. By prioritising spontaneous interaction, the staircase reflects the ethos of a modern workplace, where creativity thrives through casual conversations and unexpected collaborations.

Beyond its visual and functional qualities, the office has achieved notable accolades, including a six-star Green Star sustainability rating and a Platinum WELL wellbeing rating, highlighting JLL’s dedication to both sustainability and employee well-being. The staircase also leaves a lasting impression on visitors, its sleek lines and innovative structure harmonising with Sydney’s contemporary skyline. This thoughtful integration of design elevates the staircase as a signature feature, not only within the office but also within the broader context of Sydney’s architectural landscape.
