A Staircase That Supports Sustainable Design from the Ground Up

CBRE’s revitalised head office at 363 George Street is a showcase of modern workplace design—anchored by a refined, sculptural staircase delivered by Asentis. Spanning two levels, the stair forms the vertical heart of the space, offering both practical connection and architectural presence within the open-plan fit-out.

Engineered with precision, the installation required the removal of the previous stair and the creation of a new slab penetration, supported by robust trimmer beams. This structural integration laid the groundwork for a staircase that’s as strong as it is striking. The clean geometry of the stair is enhanced by a sleek glass balustrade, adding transparency and lightness while maintaining a high level of finish and detail.

Designed with sustainability and wellness in mind, the project targets 6-Star Green Star and WELL Platinum certification. Every detail of the stair—from material selection to fabrication—was considered through that lens. The result is a seamless blend of form and function, offering an elevated experience that reflects the values of the workplace it connects.
