At the heart of Sydney’s CBD, Brookfield’s new Australian headquarters at Brookfield Place occupies 6,626 square meters across three levels — a space that embodies the company’s commitment to quality and innovation.
Designed by the multi-award-winning Bates Smart and constructed by global leader Multiplex, the interior reflects Brookfield’s brand values through a refined material palette of white, polished stainless steel, marble, and deep ochres. Inspired by modernist principles of geometry and form, the workspace evokes a gallery-like aesthetic that celebrates Brookfield’s diverse global portfolio and dedication to excellence.
At the core of the design is a striking full-turn spiral staircase connecting the three levels. Standing over 7 meters tall with a diameter of more than 5 meters, the steel-plate structure — finished with artisan-quality polished plaster — serves as both a functional connector and a sculptural centrepiece. Engaged early in the design development phase, Asentis worked closely with Bates Smart and project stakeholders to bring this ambitious vision to life. Through detailed workshops and technical collaboration, Asentis delivered tailored solutions that ensured the staircase’s seamless integration and flawless execution within the architectural intent.
